This week the RIFT team is recovering from going to Gamescom in Germany last week, so we’re hosting Trion Creator Keepro! Keepro was recently at Gamescom too, where he got to interview the team in-person. This week he’ll be playing on PTS with nine of his buddies to test out the upcoming RIFT Prime T3 raid, Primeval Feast. Watch live for a chance to win awesome prizes! Hellbugs have invaded Telara! Get in there and save the world, Ascended!

Prevent these Hellbugs from their aggressive colonization of Telara. These suspiciously familiar invaders have jumped from the other worldly city of San Francisco to Telara to try and make it their home. Don’t let them gain a foothold as they spread from one end of Mathosia to the other.

Call-to-Action Event

From Thursday, August 2, 2018 beginning at 12:01 AM PDT until Monday, August 6, 2018 at 11:59 PM PDT, Hellbugs from Defiance 2050 will invade RIFT! During this limited-time event, Hellbug Rifts will spawn more frequently throughout Telara (on both Live and Prime). Additionally, new zones have been added to their rampage, including Scarwood Reach, Shimmersand, Iron Pine Peak, and Ember Isle.

Participating in this Call to Action event can net you some unique prizes. Completing these Hellbug Rifts have a chance to award you:

• Minor XP or Token Boosts (15%)
• Bonus Currency
• Special Dimension Items
• Minions (Live only)
• Wardrobe Skin Items & Bundles
• Special Mounts (including three not previously released on Live)

Note that on Live, zone events use personal loot IRCs. Players get two free rolls per zone per day, after that, they are charged. Prime however, has no gating on rolls.

Hellbug Sale

Besides the event itself, the RIFT store will have special Hellbugs you can purchase as well. The sale runs from Wednesday, August 1, 2018 after the servers come up (approximately 9:00 AM PDT) until Wednesday, August 15, 2018 until the servers go down for maintenance (approximately 6:00 AM PDT).

• Hellbug Mounts
• Hellbug Combat Pet Skin Bundle
• Unique Pet – Tartarus
• Votan Fragger Rifle Wardrobe Skin
• New Dimension Items including Hellbug NPCs

These Hellbug goodies are largely available for either Credits or the new in-game Chaos Mote currency. However, a few are Credit-only.

Love Chloromancy? Why not take a voxel-ized vacation and try playing the Chloromancer in Trove?

Last week we brought you a Vox Budgie-themed #ThrowbackThursday.

This week however, we’re reminding players that Chloromancers aren’t native to Telara. Trove has them, too! You can play the Chloromancer class in Trove. Utilize some favorite abilities such as Phytobarrier, Leafy Lasher, Blooming Pollinator, and more. Just like in RIFT, they bend the laws of nature to both heal allies and damage foes, plus their flowers pack a punch! Check it out!

Check out what you can expect with RIFT Prime’s newest challenge: Challenge IV!

Ready or not, Challenge IV is here! Beginning Wednesday, June 20, 2018 and lasting through Friday, July 20, 2018 participate in several summer-lovin’ Telaran activities for a chance to claim new, unique in-game titles.

Planar Protector

Get in there and close some Rifts! It’s the name of the game, after all!

• Fully seal 120 Rifts from the following categories (must be conned green):
  • Seal 20 Air Rifts
  • Seal 20 Fire Rifts
  • Seal 20 Water Rifts
  • Seal 20 Earth Rifts
  • Seal 20 Death Rifts
  • Seal 20 Life Rifts
• Claim victory in 20 Zone Events

Reward: Closing these Rifts and being victorious in 20 Zone Events will award you the “Planar Protector” Prefix Title.

Primus

For those PvP lovers out there, this challenge has something for you, too.

• Win 30 Warfronts
• Gain 30,000 Favor

Reward: Getting your PvP on and doing the above will earn you the “Primus” prefix title.

Prime Artisan

Not a fan of killing monsters or other players? We’ve got you covered, too.

• Earn 3 Master Craftsman Marks

Reward: Get crafting and earn 3 Master Craftsman Marks to earn the “Prime Artisan” prefix title.

The goals of these challenges must be completed during the timeframe of the challenge itself. Any Rifts closed, players killed, or marks collected before the start date or after the end date will not count towards Challenge IV. So, get out there and RIFT on!
