In preparation for the upcoming launch of End of Nations™ and microtransaction functionality, we’ve updated our Terms of Use to cover some key changes that will be occurring prior to the game’s release.
New Rules to Govern Virtual Property: Trion may offer the option to purchase Virtual Currency and/or Virtual Goods (collectively, “Virtual Items”). We have incorporated rules to govern Virtual Items to ensure that users will have a better understanding of their rights in connection with the use of such Virtual Items. Users with Virtual Items are granted a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Virtual Items, and users have no ownership or property rights in such items. Virtual Items are non-refundable, have no monetary value, and cannot be redeemed for money, goods, or other items of monetary value.
Monetization of YouTube Game Play Footage: Users may wish to participate in YouTube’s revenue sharing program by placing advertisements alongside videos of authorized Game play. Trion grants permission to participate provided that users abide by the restrictions on the advertisements set forth in detail in the updated Terms of Use.
Addon Policy: Trion is proud to recognize the tremendous efforts in and passion for developing Game user interface addons (“Addons”). However, such Addons were not developed or tested by Trion and, therefore, Trion cannot make, and expressly disclaims, any express or implied warranties. Users may develop and distribute Addons provided that users abide by the restrictions set forth in detail in the updated Terms of Use.
