The next update hits Defiance 2050 next month, with a host of new content, enemies, a new class, and more!
Trion Worlds is excited to announce the release date for their next content update for Defiance 2050. Launching on October 15, the “Trouble in Paradise” update will bring with it new missions, enemy types, and the Crusader class, a melee-focused heavy class that can dish out copious amounts of damage with a high-impact hammer!
The Crusader is a formidable bruiser class that comes well-equipped with a mighty hammer they can summon to engage in epic melee battles! Level up unique skills and activate abilities to leap right into the action or pull in enemies toward you with full force. The Crusader can later unlock awe-inspiring abilities like an absorbing shield that protects and unleashes an outward attack for swift retribution! Alternatively, the Crusader can call upon a massive meteor strike from above and crash it down to explosively damage and knockback foes.
In addition to being available separately, owners of the Ultimate Class Pack will automatically receive the Crusader class as part of their purchase, as well as the upcoming Engineer class. The Ultimate Class Pack also includes four previously released classes, $50 worth of Bits, and more!
The “Trouble in Paradise” update also introduces the Grid as an enemy type. An aggressive force of EGO constructs that can infect cybernetics and control the attached individual, the Grid is a determined and terrifying force in Defiance 2050. Capable of manifesting as hard-light entities and operating independently of a host all together, the Grid possess devastating energy weaponry, with their true goals remaining a mystery. Defiance 2050 will flesh out the Grid as a race, introducing all-new story elements, lore, and even a new Grid enemy for the first time!
“Trouble in Paradise” won’t be the only addition to Defiance 2050 in October, as Hulker Hell, the fan-favorite annual event from the original Defiance, will make its debut just in time for Halloween. From October 15 to November 4, players can take on special Arkfall events to earn awesome loot and unique drops, including Halloween themed cosmetics!
As of the Trouble in Paradise update, players will be able to view and attach new skins to their weapons, changing their appearance. Skins are purchasable from the store, and can be attained through in-game means as well. For more information on the Trouble in Paradise update, please visit the blog post.
