The city of Atlas is opening its doors to the public for its first major event! Sign up for our Alpha Sneak Peek to become a Freelancer and be one of the first to explore the Trust-ruled world of tomorrow.
A lot has changed since we first announced Atlas Reactor last year. In our Thursday night playtests, our awesome community of early Alpha testers gave us great feedback on every new feature and tweak that we made, from ability mods to balancing characters.
With their input in mind (and a lot of late nights from our team, whose efforts I could not be more grateful for), we’ve made a ton of HUGE improvements to our Alpha.
Some of the highlights so far are:
- New map! Battle atop the High-rise Sanctuary, a more intimate map full of tight corners and narrow escapes
- New Characters, like Rampart and more, plus new character styles and skins.
- Mod system enhancements, which allow you to customize your Freelancer after seeing the enemy matchup
- A new Freelancer progression system where you can earn cosmetic rewards for your favorite gunslingers
- An updated, voiced tutorial with cool new environmental art
- Grouping, so that you can join parties with your friends
- A daily contract system that allows you to earn extra ISO while you play
- Smarter, harder to beat AI
- A redesigned user interface and queueing system
- Ability videos previews, so you can see what a character can do before you play
And we’re still just getting started.
On February 18 – 24, we’re opening our Alpha up to a much larger crowd of people for an Alpha Sneak Peek. If you’re not already signed up to play, do it now! Our servers open at 2PM PST, and will stay open 24/7 during the event. We want you to be able to find a game and play any time of the day (and not just with Devs, even though you’ll probably run into a lot of us too).
If you’re already part of our Alpha – first, thank you! – and second, come back and see some of the changes we’ve made.
There’s even more new content and surprises to come in the weeks ahead. Come sign up and help us make Atlas Reactor even better.
