RIFT 3.0: Nightmare Tide is coming soon! In a blog post RIFT producer Bill Fisher revealed several upcoming content updates for the vast, magical world of Telara. Nightmare Tide, the next major expansion, will take players into the Plane of Water, where dreams and nightmares made manifest threaten the existence of Telara and all of the elemental planes. Players will encounter all new open-world zones and story quest lines, a new rift type, an increased level cap, and so much more.
Until Nightmare Tide launches later this year, fans will be able to enjoy Summerfest, as well as a new Warfront: The Blighted Antechamber, which are still on the way. Additionally, RIFT 2.8: Madness Wakes is currently under development and includes the Nightmare Cost dungeon — a precursor to the expansion storyline — along with updates to the Auction House that fans have been waiting for.
